A Belated Happy New Year & Exciting News Post!

So it’s been almost 4 months since I posted last on this blog, but I promise it was for good reason. I am very excited to say that I am pregnant with baby #2 – currently just over 20 weeks with a due date of 1st June 2013. Unfortunately pregnancy and I don’t agree and I had severe morning sickness again this time round making reading impossible as it sets off the vomiting. So in a nutshell I haven’t been reading or on the computer much over the last 3+ months and instead have been pretty much living over a toilet bowl, the joys of pregnancy. Now that it’s for the most part finished and I’m started to feel normal again, I have a heap of books still to read and review from the last quarter of 2012 and I’m sure I’ll find more new authors, debuts and reads to talk about this year as well.

Over the next few weeks expect to see the website updated with some 2013 challenges and details, plus some new reviews. I’m setting fairly soft goals this year seeing I have no idea how I’ll go once bub arrives in the middle of the year but if I have another bad sleeper then perhaps I’ll be getting even more reading in (eek!!!). I’m also considering changing the blog focus a little bit, while it will still be books I’m thinking of making it a more general interest blog perhaps incorporating some parenting & babies, general life thoughts and gaming, still not 100% sure on this we’ll see! I may also have another mum start writing reviews on adult fiction which will be exciting and will add another dimension to the blog, hopefully I’ll be able to update you all on that over the next couple of weeks.

To finish things off here is a picture of me 20 weeks pregnant – feeling huge already and scared at how big that bump is going to grow over the next 20 weeks!

Thanks Hannah, I think it will generally become a little bit more generic as I re-enter new mummydom it kinda takes over your life a bit in those early months!
