Bout of Books Has Begun! My Goals & Updates Post

Today starts the Bout of Books Readathon. I was originally not going to take part as my daughter has started daycare and seems to be catching all kinds of colds and flus (she has seriously been sick for what feels like forever!) at the moment leaving me with very little time, but we’re having a good day today so while she’s having her afternoon sleep I decided to write this post and get my groove on!

So there are a whole bunch of challenges, giveaways and great networking opportunities that I am not sure if I’ll get a chance to take advantage of but for a full list check out the wonderful Bout of Books website.

WHAT AM I HOPING TO ACHIEVE?

I read 1-2 books a week currently. I’m hoping to get through at least 3. If I manage more GREAT but I’m not pressuring myself too much with this

I do have quite a few review books coming up that I NEED to get through so I’ll mainly be focusing on these books over the read-a-thon.

Daily Update: I’m techincally starting this a day late as I’m in Australia and it’s the 15th here, but I’ll give a recap of my day yesterday! I do most of my reading on my iphone while I’m nursing my daughter. As she has a cold I was doing a lot of nursing last night and got through a good chunk of City of Lost Souls. I’m loving this book so far – but then I love the entire series so it’s no surprise. I have no idea how Jace is going to get out of this one but I am really liking this Clary with a backbone!

Currently Reading Details: On book #1 of the challenge and now 43% through! It’s a long book but hopefully I can finish it off tomorrow.

Daily Update: I’ve been a whole lot of naughty with reading! I had forgotten that Diablo 3 was released today and as my entire family games and was planning on playing I didn’t want to miss out on the action! So basically I spent my free time doing that instead of finishing off City of Lost Souls… oh well

Currently Reading Details: Still on book #1 of my challenge list and now 54% through.

Daily Update: Did a little bit of reading but my daughter slept fairly well last night so not as much as I had hoped! City of Lost Souls is dragging a little bit, I’m expecting the action to ramp up shortly though

Currently Reading Details: 72% through CoLS now, so much for finishing it!

Daily Update: City of Lost Souls is getting really interesting. Not reading anywhere near as much as I liked oh well.

Currently Reading Details: 84% through City of Lost Souls, slowly but surely.

Daily Update: Hooray! Finally finished City of Lost Souls and it was an excellent ending Have started on Talisman of El though catching up with my sister tonight so don’t expect to get very far with it.

Currently Reading Details: 100% through City of Lost Souls. 5% through Talisman of El.

She actually miracle of all miracles put herself to bed both at naptime and bedtime!!! So missed out of some prime reading time Not really complaining about that though hahaha!
